A note from camper/CIT Claire about why she chose to become a CIT (counselor in training).I became a CIT because I have been coming to YCL for most of my life and I have always wanted to help the campers have the best time possible. YCL has always been a safe place and a second home for me. I wanted to make a difference in the camper's lives like my counselors made a difference in mine.

CITs are students between 13 and 18 years old who are selected to participate in camps as "counselors in training". They attend a training camp and are expected to help in the dorms during normal camp life. CITs must be 15 or older to work at Jr. High camp. If your student is interested in becoming a CIT, contact the camp office about opportunities in 2014!
